Attitude! Does It Matter In Life?

Article from here

Some people are easily upset; some people always seem to find what's wrong; others seem to always find what's right. Some look for the bad while others look for the good. What makes the difference? Attitude and thinking make the difference.

You are in total charge of your attitude and your thinking. No one can make you think what you do not choose to think. You may blame someone else for your attitude and thinking, but to do so is to follow a misleading Signpost.

Your attitudes toward these three are determined by the way you think and you are in charge of the way you think. Unfortunately, thinking has a poor reputation in many people. It has almost become an extinct species. Do you know that five percent of people think, Ten percent think they think and the rest would rather be entertained than think.
Funny but true. Most people don't like to put their brain to work, so they rather have someone else do the thinking for them.

Everything in our world begins with a thought but thinking clearly is an art. So what are your thoughts and attitude towards the life that you lead? What about your purpose in life, have you made that strong goal for yourself?

The attitudes you hold about yourself will colour every aspect of your life. It is essential that you develop positive, constructive, realistic attitudes about yourself. I know that developing positive thoughts alone with right attitudes is not always easy but I had to learn these attributes if I wanted to succeed in life, It was a long hard lesson but well worth the time and effort to learn.

Your mental balance depends on the attitude you have of yourself and other human beings.

So here are three tools to help you do better in life.

1.Your attitude towards people.

I like people and accept people in spite of their faults. Not always easy because people can and will disappoint you, however ,you need to stay with this concept if you want to get along with different people.

2. Your attitude towards problems.

Life presents many experiences we call problems or challenges. For some people, their attitude will be: "Too much to handle," Poor me;" I can't cope" and of course the most famous one "Why me"? Obstacles will always present you with opportunities. When faced with a problem be creative, use that imagination of yours. Look for alternatives. When my children came to me with problems and there were many I would say to them, “How are you going to solve this problem?” They would walk away thinking and scratching their heads. Remember no one problem has just one solution. Several possibilities can be examined.

3. Your attitude towards yourself.

Accept yourself as an important part of your life. Develop a good opinion of who you are, what you are doing and where you are going. Recognise that you have assets and liabilities. Please don't judge yourself too harshly, like yourself in spite of your imperfections. Try to be a better person than what you were yesterday. Improve yourself everyday and soon you will feel good just to be alive.
